Israel Rodríguez Blanco

Israel Rodríguez is a vocal performer, with a range of Baritone, multi color sounds and textures.He enjoys exploring the connection between voice, body and telling stories. He has a Classical singing Degree at “Escuela de Formación escénico vocal Ja´sit” and Science of Communication at UABC (the public university of Tijuana). He´s been a singer teacher at Superior Music School at Tijuana, CAE Scenic Arts Center, Gloria Campobello Dance School and Tijuana´s Gay Chorus.
Israel has debuted as Singer, actor, dancer and songwriter in several interdisciplinary projects where performing arts are the axis of his artistic vision. He´s been involved in works like contemporary plays, musicals, Cabaret, Ópera, vocal ensembles with very known institutions from Tijuana, México. Israel has had a scholarship by Baja California´s artistic talents since 14 years old to his 18th year.
He played the role of Nardo at Il Filosofo di campagna, Don Basilio from Nozze di Figaro, Jesus Christ at Jesus Christ Superstar, Rolf at the Sound of music, Prince Eric at The Little Mermaid, and lord Farquaad from Shrek. Also was part of 4 rock bands where he was the songwriter, and singer. He has created Ecos del Puerto Cabaret show, where he mixed in a single narrative, popular and classical music. Ecos del Puerto was premiered for the titulation process and next year, the Cabaret play was performed at the international cabaret festival of Mexico.

Israel has been in workshops like, musical conduction by Digna Guerra at Tlaxcala canta. With Andree Quadros at Common Ground voices and at Meredith´s Monk Ensemble workshop. Also some singing and acting courses with Hernan del Riego, Ceci Sotres, Lauren Flanningan,Baltazar Zuñiga,and one Alexander technique singing courses at Quito, Ecuador
with Zintzuni Cardel.
In recent dates Israel Produced with San Diego Gay Men’s chorus, Mexico City gay men’s chorus a big meeting in Tijuana, collaborating with his Artistic conduction in Coro Diversidad Tijuana. In the beginning of 2024 had a collaboration with the vocal ensemble ”New West Evolving Art and Music Organism. (NWEAMO). Also he has been working in a musical spectacle called Membranzas to talk about LGBT Tijuana history, through music and activists
